The Kershaw County Library includes Camden, Elgin, and Bethune branches and a bookmobile.
We provide opportunities for all people to learn and grow.
Through SC LENDS, a partnership of twenty library systems, books can be borrowed from other libraries with the click of a button. E-books, audiobooks, and streaming videos can be accessed for free through Libby, hoopla, and Kanopy. Thousands of magazines, newspapers, reference books, and more, are available 24/7 through numerous databases.
We provide programming for all ages that encourages community conversations, self-sufficiency, a love of learning, and fun!
Kershaw County is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Kershaw County is partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
