Downloadables

Ebooks and Audiobooks

Your library offers ebooks and audiobooks for you to download, all for free! These can be borrowed on your phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer.

Our main ebook and audiobook collection can be found through Jasmine Digital Library, which uses the OverDrive service to deliver ebooks and audiobooks to you. For ease of use on phones or tablets, download the Libby app. If you are using a Kindle Fire you will need to download the Overdrive app.

Through August 31, 2020, the State Library has offered access to Audio BookCloud, Romance  BookCloud, and Teen BookCloud.

Hoopla Digital

Hoopla Digital offers free music, audiobooks, ebooks, comic books, TV shows, and movies for borrowing.

To use hoopla, download the hoopla Digital app in your device’s app store, or visit www.hoopladigital.com.

Your library card number and an email address are all you need to create your account to receive your eight free checkouts each month! Additionally, through April 30, 2020, hoopla introduced Bonus Borrows in response to the increase in digital borrowing caused by library closures across the country. Titles checked out do not count toward the monthly lending limits.

Flipster!

Flipster is a next-generation digital magazine solution that makes it easy for you to read your favorite magazines on your computer or mobile device.

Click on the Flipster link on your computer,  tablet or phone to easily access a site where you can browse available magazines. You can then click on a magazine to view it within your browser. This means you can access Flipster from any computer, laptop, or mobile device, as long as you are connected to the Internet.

Or you can use the Flipster app, available through the iTunes store for the iPad and iPhone, and on the Google Play store for Android tablets, to download magazines for offline reading. Simply browse and view magazines through the Flipster link on your library’s website, and select the “Open in App” option to download magazines to the app, where they can be read and managed offline.

Got kids to keep busy?

Try Tumblebooks! TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books adding sound, animation, music, and narration to produce an electronic picture book that you can read or have read to you. This collection may be used on your computer or tablet, but is not compatible with e-readers. This service also offers an app for Apple and Android devices.
For additional children’s books that are also compatible with a tablet, Kindle, etc., visit our e-book library in Jasmine or hoopla.
