Epidemic Library Services

The library, in cases of emergency or epidemic, will sometimes shut down. If the staff are still available and the library is operational, we’ll offer services to our cardholders to get them by in times of need and uncertainty. Here’s a few of the options we’ll have available for you in case of public library closure:

WiFi Available
In our parking lots, you can get a wireless signal to the library’s public internet. If you need access on a laptop or your child needs access on their Chromebook, feel free to come take advantage of this service from the comfort of your vehicle.

Telephone Reference
We can help you in searching the catalog, giving brief definitions or statistical data, explaining library services, and searching the Internet for specific, brief information. We can also help with basic search guidance, but not extensive instruction or research assistance.

Online Resources (available no matter the status of the library)
We’ve got you covered with online services. From your place of comfort, you can access digital entertainment and reference information. For these services, you will need your library card.
With our Discus databases, you’ll be able to access online encyclopedias, biographies, auto repair, medical information, and more. There’s children’s digital databases too, for use on school projects or just for general knowledge! For entertainment purposes, we offer Hoopla (movies, music, e-books, audiobooks, comics), Overdrive (e-books and audiobooks), Flipster (online magazines), and TumbleBooks (interactive children’s books).

Fee Waivers
The library is not charging late fees during the time of closure.
