Eat Smart, Be Active!

We are teaming up, over the next 9 weeks, with Clemson Extension to learn how to Eat Smart and Be Active! This hands-on program is for adults living in Kershaw County with limited financial resources who are looking to eat healthier and become more physically active (see bottom of the post to register). Our engaging topics include:

August 9: Welcome to Eat Smart, Be Active!
August 16: Get Moving
August 23: Plan, Shop, Save
August 30: Fruits and Veggies
September 6: Make Half Your Grains Whole
September 13: Go Lean with Protein
September 20: Build Strong Bones
September 27: Make a Change
October 4: Celebrate

You’ll be on the way to a healthier family and have fun while learning with us!

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program is offered by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service.

Participants must be a parent/guardian of a child or family with limited financial resources and reside in Kershaw County.
