Kershaw County Library offers free library cards to Kershaw County residents. We have three different locations and would love to see you at one and sign you up for a card!

How to Get Your Library Card

  • Bring your Kershaw County driver’s license or ID to a local branch and fill out an application there. If you just moved and haven’t received an ID yet, no worries! You can bring one of the following to prove residency:
    • mortgage papers-OR-lease/rent agreement
    • utility bill
    • passport
    • or even your child’s Kershaw County school registration
  • If you live outside of Kershaw County, you can still get a library card. Non-residents pay a low $15 fee for a library card, and for one year, receive the benefits of the library:
    • borrow books/DVDs/audiobooks
    • use our digital and downloadable services
    • and access to services inside the library
