Knock Your Reading Goal Out of the Park with KCL & the Fireflies!

Join KCL and the Columbia Fireflies for a reading program that your child will love! They can earn a free ticket to a Fireflies baseball game and get cool Fireflies goodies when they arrive at the game.

Starting on Monday, March 13, 2023, your child (ages 12 and under) can pick up a baseball diamond reading log from any branch of the Kershaw County Library. Have your child read for 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week, and they’ve hit a home run! Bring in the completed log to your branch by Friday, April 14, 2023 and let us know your child knocked the challenge out of the park. We’ll toss you a link to log on to your computer and redeem their free ticket (and let you purchase discounted tickets for the rest of the family). We hope you’ll choose the designated Kershaw County Library day as your game day of choice! It will be on Sunday, April 23, 2023 starting at 5:05 PM. When your child comes to the game, they’ll even get exclusive Fireflies Reading Program goodies!

There are absolutely no foul balls here… nothing but a grand slam while spring-training the brain!

If you have any questions, feel free to call your local branch. You can reach the Camden branch at 803-425-1508, the Elgin branch at 803-438-7881, and the Bethune branch at 803-310-6006.
