Community Outreach

The Bookmobile and Outreach Van are still rolling around the community, looking for ways to help. This fall, we’re adding some fun to our regularly scheduled bookmobile stops.
In October, the bookmobile will have some Take-and-Makes for a fun spooky October craft. We’ll help you if you put it together on the bookmobile! In November, we’re partnering up with the Nature as Teacher Margaret H. Lloyd SmartState Endowment (with Clemson University) to bring the kids a fun storytime and craft at Hallmark at Roy Truesdell Apartments on Nov. 5 at 3 PM, and River’s Edge Apartments on Nov. 19 at 3 PM. Come meet Leoncia Cruz, Environmental Education Specialist and have a blast (ages 6+). We can’t wait to see you out and about this fall. And don’t forget that you can find our Outreach Van (aka the book van) at many Food for the Soul and United Way Mobile Nutrition Center stops as well. When you come visit us at one of those stops, you can pick out a free book to keep and get some much needed food assistance. The Outreach team is here to help.
