Save the Date! KCL Southern Gothic Festival 2025
Step into the shadows of the South and join the Kershaw County Library for the second annual Southern Gothic festival on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, 2025. The Southern Gothic Festival is a two-day immersive celebration of the dark, the poetic, and the uncanny. Hosted in historic Camden, South Carolina, this evocative weekend will conjure the spirits of Southern Literature, music, folklore, and haunted history.
Kicking off Friday night with a hauntingly atmospheric street concert on Rutledge Street, the festival will feature authors, musicians, and speakers who dive deep into the eerie elegance of the Southern Gothic tradition. Expect ghost stories whispered under Spanish moss, melodies laced with melancholy, and tales that linger long after dusk.
More details will follow soon. For now, mark your calendars. And don’t look away too quickly—the South remembers.
