Self-Care Discovery Week

Monday, January 10 – Friday, January 14 is Self-Care Discovery Week! This week, come by our Camden branch to explore the possibilities open to you to begin a journey of self-care.

We’ll have displays of ideas for simplifying your life and home. Self-care encompasses many facets of living: physical, psychological, emotional, social, professional, environmental, spiritual, and financial. Let’s get this year off to a good start!

We’ve also got great programming to complement your journey to the best you:

Online programming to aid you in self-care discovery:
Wednesday, January 12 at 6 PM on Zoom – Write Club Story of You 2
Join Hanna as we explore ourselves throughout the years with creative writing prompts. This week, we’re exploring our childhood and looking into our past to find our future selves. Writing can provide cathartic relief for stress, both past and present. To sign up, email hannag@kershawcountylibrary.org

In-Person Program:
Tuesday, January 11 at 5 PM – Chess Club
Come experience the classic game of chess in Camden with Lauren. All levels of skill are welcome. Games can provide great stress relief, calming effects, and games like chess help to build and strengthen cognitive function!
