Home Services Check Out SC: The State Park Pass Program

Courtesy of the South Carolina State Library, you can now check out a Statewide Park Pass to enjoy the beautiful parks of South Carolina. Developed for South Carolina public libraries by the South Carolina State Library, the Statewide Park Pass gives free admittance to any of the 47 South Carolina state parks.

We want to encourage patrons to take advantage of public spaces, specifically our state parks. The South Carolina State Library created a book list. The Statewide Park Pass will allow families free day-entry into state parks. Borrowers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Kershaw County Library card in good standing. There is a two-week checkout period. Please return the Statewide Park Pass to the branch where you borrowed it.

The Statewide Park Passes are funded in part through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and administered by the South Carolina State Library (SCSL). They are also available in large part through our partnership with the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (SCPRT).
